This page brings you the full Veikkausliiga standings and league table but you really need to keep in mind that we're not dealing with a straightforward 12 team season here. The Veikkausliiga league is structured very differently - after the regular season comes a championship round and a relegation round , so the standings are crucial not once but twice: to decide who makes the top six, and then again to determine the title winner, Europe and the very bottom of the table. It's that split format that makes the Veikkausliiga table such a compelling read, way more interesting than your average Nordic summer league table.
How the Veikkausliiga League Table Works
At the heart of the Veikkausliiga are 12 teams, and from 2025 onwards the format looked like this: 22 regular-season matches followed by a double-header championship round for the top six, and a single relegation round for the bottom six. That means the number of matches played wasn't the same for all teams: the top six teams end up playing 32 matches, the bottom six 27 in total. And that's what makes the table so much more than just a points table. It shows who's still in the running for the title, who's pushing hard for Europe, and who's in danger of slipping down into relegation trouble. KuPS won the title in 2025 and that structure has kept the pressure on at the top and the fight on at the bottom - which is why our standings are such an essential page for Finnish football fans.
